ÍS Vodka

I was approached by Edward Bradfield of Viking Glassier Spirits to create a 3D prototype and some renderings of a bottle design for a new Vodka. The 3D renderings are being used in their brochures and on their website.

Prophets of Science Fiction

I was approached by Dan Levitt of Veriscope Pictures to produce a 25 second animated sequence of the aliens from H.G. Well’s War of the Worlds from concept to tape in just 5 days. After discussing Dan’s vision, over the phone, of what the aliens should look like, I drew some sketches and emailed them to him. I employed my son Elliot to create all of the textures and I proceeded to create the creature and environments to match some photos of Dan’s own basement. We finished on time and the show, Prophets of Science Fiction, aired on Discovery International and in the U.S. on the Science Channel.

Building a Thrill Ride

I created some 3D animation of Disney’s new Expedition Everest ride for a show that aired on both Discovery and the Science Channel. I worked fairly closely with the guys from Disney Imagineering but their CAD files were proprietary and they couldn’t export them in any usable 3D format so I had to build the entire ride and structure using screen-grabs of the CAD files as reference. I put together a clip of some of the animation segments- there is no audio on the clip. The producer on this project was Yehuda Goldman.

Go RVing Title Slides

I created title slides for two productions by Alexandra Hawthorn of CACI Productions Group for Go RVing. One theme was"Keeping it Reel" (Go RVing secured the rights to the movie images) and the other theme was "Bringing Our A-Game"; based on the tailgating party.

CACI Banners

Alexandra Hawthorn of CACI asked me to create these banners for campaigns that they were working on for the Army, Navy, and Homeland Security.

Petroleum and Water Systems

I created two ten minute animations on new methods for bringing fuel and water to the war fighter for the U.S. Army/TACOM. I also did a series of two minute pieces, mostly re-cut from the original ten minute pieces with some more detailed shots of equipment added. I created a thirty second sequence of clips from various points throughout the series. As a side note, the first two ten minute pieces were completed in just three months. I had to create most of the models myself as well as handle all of the animation

Thank You GSA

Thank You GSA is a three minute motion graphic I created in Combustion for producer Maria Barnes of CACI Productions Group. It was created for GSA to play as a loop in a conference booth. The camera work was done by Mike Farkas and original music was created by Elliot Rogers. I uploaded a 30 second clip from it.

Satellite
I spent about 6 years in a SCIF building 3D models of satellites and animating them for the National Reconnaissance Office. It was pretty rewarding work and I really enjoyed working with most of the people there. They even let me animate other things every once in awhile. The satellite in these pictures is, of course, not one of them.

3D-The Red Planet
I created animations for two projects on the solar system for eakMedia Concepts. The first project was called the "The Red Planet" and it was, of course, about mars. The planet was made using elevation and color data from NASA. The second project was about the sun. This animation was created to show the sun's volatile, gasseous surface.
